Round, cream with bold & massive purple eye and border and startling green throat. Sepals are narrow, blunt and re-curve, light midrib, outer edge appears darker. Is “the blue” daylily flower flower going to come from big eyes and edges? I think so and this was a great way to bridge the gap and cover the petal with a thick edge and eye. Now if only it were blue…a sailors’ dream.
