SEV, 25” Early, Recurrent, 4. Less than flat Pale pink self with a fuchsia rose edge (ENE)! The petal throats can be folded under “Pinched” and the petals are heavily ruffled! Large tailored sepals adds to this flowers charm. Yellow to green throat! 5 way branching.  25 BC. Fertile! While the color is unique to this form, Curt HansOn has been doing this look for years, you have to see them in person! #KATHRYN JUNE WOOD   (Ned Roberts 2004)  SEV,M,9",38",Recurrent.UFO cascade. Lavender self with yellow green throat. The lavender color is one of the best I’ve introduced. The form is spidery. The ratio is 3.8. This daylily just has it all if you like simplicity and lavender beauty. It is a ladies’ daylily that should be grown in a lady’s dressing room rather than in the garden. Named for June Wood of Albuquerque, the current President of The National Garden Clubs.  Good rebloom all season. Five way branching. Fertile both ways. BC 22.       DF 50

#KIVA DANCER  (N. Roberts, 2005)      DF 80

SEV,ML,8",43",Recurrent.UFO crispate. Purple with an intense green throat. Very distinctive black eye. Petals curl under gracefully. The blooms reminds one of  masked caciques ( medicine men) dancing in a pueblo indian kiva. The bloom and plant habit are exceptional. The six way branching and thirty four budcount make an exciting garden plant. It is an exceptional parent for spider/ufos. Fertile both ways.

 

#KOKOPELLI  (N. Roberts, 2005)     DF 75

SEV,EM,7",46",Recurrent. UFO reverse petal crispate. Light purple over very green throat. Dark purple eye with grey halo. The bloom is different. The petals curve upward and form a floret cup shape. Some call this shape the tulip look. Kokopelli is the hunched over flute player that in pueblo mythology is many things including trickster, god of fertility, seducer, and general fun guy. KOKOPELLI is a fun daylily. Five way branching.BC 18.Pollen very fertile. Pod moderately fertile.

*LAVISH LACE (Dan Hansen I’2003)   SEV, 21”, Early, Recurrent, 5”. Very round, flat, creamy White, with a wide knobby edge that is infused with a soft pink blush.  It is a small plant in Florida, but a great performer;  in Northern Ohio , the plants were larger and scape was 26”. Green throat. Sepals are cream to butter yellow depending on where it grows. Petals recurve slightly where as the sepals are flatter and  add positively to the flower! BC 35. Named for daylily lover from Mississippi! One of my pleasures is naming good daylilies after nice people!
