AIYANA    $15 C (Dan Hansen - Spring 2011) A large bold plum eye around the yellow-green throat, while a wide matching plum edge adorns the tips of the egg shell petals, which actually re-curve back farther than the sepals, creating a distinct look on this "tweener" flower. From the Sioux Indians, meaning "eternal flower", this daylily lives up to it's name and with a bud count of 20 and 4 way branching it is truly a delight to see this blossom...many blooms over a long period of time. Blooms are large at 8", scapes are tall at 38" , Early Midseason, strong rebloom, Exotically formed.

Petals are creamy yellow with a complex eye of a thin red violet line, several shades of iridescent blue, leading to a striking green throat. Jagged and prickly, these wide yellow toothy bristles poke and prod their way along the outside perimeter of the pale pink petals. These creatures mean no harm as they tromp along to the chartreuse throat, showing their larger spikes toward the center near the soft rose band. BOAR BRISTLES is a large flower with good scapes, bud count, and of course, the highly sought after, large teeth!
